A recent survey by FORBES magazine of 100 HR professionals revealed some interesting results, namely that senior-level hiring will be “stable” in 2014 with little or no increase in compensation. FORBES points out that “Demand will be strongest for Talent at the ‘Associate/Analyst’ and ‘Post MBA or Equivalent’ levels.” In EXACTA-lingo, Corporate America is looking heavily for problem solvers and professionals to assist them.
To quote the article further, “For job seekers at the Director, VP, and SVP levels this is a wake-up call that — more than ever before — it’s no longer enough to just be expert in your own function. You need to be the complete package that bundles functional knowledge with mental agility, strategic thinking, an appetite for risk taking, creativity, openness to innovation and adaptability.”
