Oracle DBA/Exadata Migration Consultant
Candidate must be experienced in Oracle Database Administration, Architecture, and Configuration with hands-on experience in migrating databases to Exadata and cloud platforms using multiple methods and technologies. Experience with Golden Gate, RMAN, and Data Guard is required. Experience with Oracle’s Data Integration Platform Cloud (DIPC) Service preferred.
Experience in PeopleSoft database support including having Oracle/PeopleSoft performance tuning and troubleshooting skills a significant advantage. Familiarity with the latest Oracle releases and the full license feature set such as multitenancy, advanced compression, partitioning, cloud management pack, data masking and subsetting, etc. is also preferred.
Hands-on experience with Exadata Critical Patch updates preferred. Experience in scripting and automation a plus. Experience in Sparse Cloning, Key Vault, and database firewall also a plus but not required. Must be willing to work alternate shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) during the engagement as required.
The term of this engagement is estimated 6-months for the analysis and implementation.
The successful completion of the project will result in migrating all databases (both ERP and non-ERP) from the Exadata X4s to the new Exadata C@C architecture with HA and DR configured as required.
Goal of Engagement:
1. Review current database Exadata architecture – create/help create a new Exadata database architecture.
2. Create/help create a migration strategy/plan.
3. Migrate/assist with migration of databases to new Exadata.
4. Provide tuning, troubleshooting, automation where required.
