Risk and Compliance Project Manager – This role involves monitoring and overseeing domestic and international regulatory changes impacting Technology and Operations Services (TOS).

Broadly, the expectations of this role include:

  • an expert in applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends impacting assigned line of business
  • highly specialized job scope and high complexity of assigned business
  • expert understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems and associated risks/controls 
  • responsibility for leading in reporting, testing/monitoring, exception/resolution activities and providing guidance
  • training lower level and new staff, as applicable
  • interacting with senior and department managers requiring expertise in presentation and relationship building skills
  • exposure to regulatory agencies

More specifically, this role involves monitoring and overseeing domestic and international regulatory changes impacting Technology and Operations Services (TOS). This includes assessing regulatory applicability, impact, and enhancement opportunities. This position is part of the TOS Risk and Compliance Management (TOS RCM) team and works extensively with colleagues in second line of defense functions through domestic and international “triage” calls, including Regulatory Change Management, Corporate Compliance, Legal Regulatory Group, and others. In addition, first line of defense customer-facing business line managers, business control managers, and senior managers are important business partners for the incumbent. The incumbent will also work on other compliance initiatives, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • bachelor’s degree
  • ten+ years of experience in an applicable risk management environment, demonstrated Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
  • knowledge of regulations and regulatory changes impacting banking
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills
  • reliable, honest, ethical, and collaborative team player
  • effective influencing skills
  • proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) applications, and technology knowledge

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • knowledge of TOS businesses
  • applicable professional certifications 
  • bank product knowledge and experience
  • experience with eGRC Archer tool
