Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of hard working Americans. Created by the Labor Trade Union in the late 19th century and became a Federal holiday in 1894. The first Monday in September was selected as the holiday, and the Central Labor Union urged similar organizations in other cities to follow suite as a “workingmen’s holiday” on that date. The idea spread, and Labor Day was recognized across the country. Labor Day also symbolizes the end of summer for many Americans and celebrated with parties, cookouts, parades, and athletic events during a day of relaxation. EXACTA wishes all our friends, families, coworkers, consultants, vendors and clients a safe and pleasant holiday weekend.
